Long-lost relatives reunite at Holiday Inn after decades apart
Florence Bassler and three siblings reunited with two brothers and two sisters after a search on the Internet led them to discover their family ties. Tears marked the meeting as they learned of a father who had died in 1979 and reflect on years of absence and missed connections. The weekend gathering in Emmitsburg brought together a wider clan including numerous nieces and nephews, with shared memories and a hopeful sense of newfound kinship.
