Dahmer killer suspect Scarver claims divine status
Christopher J Scarver, 25, the inmate accused of killing Jeffrey Dahmer, told a psychiatrist he believed he was the son of God. A high school dropout with prior murder conviction, Scarver worked as a carpenter trainee before joining the Wisconsin Conservation Corps and later failing to stay in school. He faced life in prison after a 1992 murder conviction and is not eligible for parole until 2042. The Dahmer incident occurred as Scarver and another inmate were cleaning a prison area. Prosecutors indicated charges would be filed in coming days.
