In Columbus Ohio a policeman and an unidentified bandit are dead after officers tried to arrest four men in a stolen Cleveland car. Patrolman Grannison P Koehler died at a local hospital and a bandit lay dead in the rear seat of the car. The other officer wounded fired at the fleeing car as the bandits opened fire.
The local voiture of les societe des 40 hommes et 8 chevaux motored to Emmitsburg and banqueted at the Emmitsburg Hotel last night. Twenty one members attended as they enjoyed banqueting, speeches, and dancing with the Frederick club members. Music was by the Emmitsburg orchestra under H. Dorsey Boyle. vocal selections and an impromptu rhyme followed. The event ended after songs and dancing to the early hours with attendees including Storm, Sponseiler, Crist, Davis, Sanders, Kethaugh, Rice, Houck, Schroeder, Nomazie, Gilbert, Wood, Rhoads, Lipps, Reynolds, Tallyar, Stauffer, Bowers, Winebrewer, and Sterle.

Mr and Mrs Wood Kauffman and Raymond visited near Detour.
