McCain Outlines Frederick's Part In 12-Year Roads Plan
Frederick area tour factions heard Russell H. McCain of the State Roads Commission detail the 12 year program started in 1953. Nearly 3 million in Frederick County, over 2 million in Carroll and Howard, and about 6.1 million total in three counties have been awarded or advertised for bids. The Frederick by pass, a key link, will run about 14 miles around the city with dual lanes and a 50 foot median though entry to Frederick remains convenient.
