The Lansdale Tube Company, affiliate of Philco, will establish a Frederick division on about 65 acres north east of East Eighth and East streets. A 200,000 square foot one story plant is planned to manufacture electronic receiver tubes for TV and radio, employing 500 to 1,000. Full land possession by April 1 1951, temporary quarters sought, construction aim by late 1951. The project, arranged by the Frederick Chamber of Commerce, marks a major industry arrival for the city.
