Washington 22 AP The Relief Administration abandoned its 30 cent an hour minimum wage for work relief. Future wages will be those prevailing in the communities where the work is done. An order sent to state administrators places wage decisions with local committees representing labor business and relief agencies. Officials expect the change to raise persis on work relief. Baker says the old rule made the government pay higher wages in some areas than private workers.
