Stain Of Acrylic Color On Raw Canvas At Spectrum Gallery
Richard Leichert reports on Spectrum Gallery in Georgetown hosting a John F. Bledsoe reception on Nov 22 to view ten large acrylic color stained canvases. Bledsoe, a Bethesda NIH medical illustrator and Walter Johnson High School art chair, paints abstractly with bright colors on unprimed canvas, aiming for non objective art. The piece notes his move to Namsville and future hopes for Frederick shows, plus context on collecting decorative plates by Boehm and Lenox, with market notes on value and history.
