No Rationing Legislation Moves Forward in Senate

Robert Rissler Dies at 81 in Charles Town Newspaper Legacy
Robert C. Rissler, 81, longtime editor and former half-owner of the Farmers Advocate, died of pneumonia at Charles Town Hospital. A former telegraph editor of the York Gazette, he moved to Charles Town in 1901, retained lifetime editorship after selling in 1930, and remained active in West Virginia journalism. Survivors include his son Howard, a Chicago Tribune employee, and three daughters Mrs. Paul Silliman of Finley, Mrs. Kent Keen of Washington DC, and Mrs. John C. Skinner of Charles Town. He was a native of Jefferson County.
