Frederick Youngster Stanley, nine, son of Mrs. Alice Holbrunner, fell ill after swallowing a collar button while playing at home. He was rushed to Frederick City Hospital, then to Mercy Hospital in Baltimore for a delicate operation to free the lodged button near the windpipe. The operation was successful and the boy is recovering.

Detroit reports an aeroplane carrying 14 cases of whisky was seized at Ford airport at Henry Ford's request. Henry Spence was arrested as the aviator who brought the cargo last night. A night watchman found the liquor and state police were summoned. Ford waited at the field hoping the pilot would return. Spence denied piloting the craft.
