Seven large warehouses packed with ammunition exploded at the U S Eighth Army supply base in Ikego Japan injuring seven Americans and four Japanese. Considerable Damage From Two City Auto Accidents
Sunday police investigated two property damage only accidents. In the first at Second and Market streets Charles H. Henry of Baltimore and Charles A. Rayman of Burkittsville collided. Henry was cited for allegedly running a stop sign at Market Street. Damages were about 275 dollars to Rayman’s car and 150 to Henry’s. In the second on South Market Street William A. Weikert of Gettysburg pulled from a curb and hit Lerox Hammond of Smithdown. damages about 75 dollars to Hammond’s car and minor to Weikert’s. No charges were filed after drivers settled damages.
