Upper MontCo residents press for roads pools and libraries
Upper Montgomery County residents urged County Executive Charles Gilchrist to prioritize a $1.03 billion 1987 budget with road projects plus new libraries pools and transit. Damascus and Poolesville groups asked for bypasses, parking, sidewalks, a community pool, and a library site to speed revitalization while opponents spoke against a firing range in Little Bennett Park.
