Arson suspect firefighter linked to Mount Airy fires
A 23 year old Montgom ery County Mount Airy firefighter, Troy David Murdock of North Main Street, was arrested Tuesday and charged with arson of a farmhouse and a car amid a crime spree that began with a 3 am burglary in Eldersburg and ended in Mount Airy. He posted bail set at 50000 dollars and was released Wednesday afternoon. Police say he smelled of smoke and gasoline when found and cannot recall hours after the events. Investigation continues for additional victims and possible further involvement.
