Taneytown PTA Schedules Open House and Orchestral Theatrical
Taneytown High School observes National Education Week with open house for parents and friends. The school orchestra played several selections while refreshments were served by sophomores. A play presented by Thelma Motter Nancy Baker Lore Braun Bh Abrecht Connie Arvin Larry Koontz and Charles Fream accompanied the event. The Womens Guild of Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church met with the Thank Offering committee. Mrs Clyde Hesson chaired the event. The annual Thank Offering service will be held November 21 in the church during morning worship with Mrs William Banks Hanover as guest speaker. Miss Helen Banhard read the scripture and prayers were led by Mrs Helen Walker. A playlet was performed by Mrs Carel Fiock Mrs Otis Shoemaker Mrs George Fham Miss Margaret Smiceve Mrs John Fee ser and Mrs Fred Shank Kenneth Reifsnide, with a cornet solo by Allen Baumgardner on hand. Mrs Mervin Wantz announced the Homewood Auxiliary member stipend drive would end this month. The United States consumes 60 percent of the world's coffee exports and 40 percent of cocoa exports.
