Truck crashes into pole on Route 40 injures none
A potato laden truck crashed into a telephone pole along Route 40 near the Seven Sisters pills outside Bartholows around 11 45 last night causing extensive vehicle damage. The driver Ernest Smith escaped unhurt and blamed failing headlights and a momentary road ditch. Police investigated. no charges were filed. Miss Alice Hitchcock pleaded guilty to failing to keep right after a Woodsboro accident and paid fines. Collateral for several motor charges was forfeited.
