Cecil Holter Jr. and Rhoderick served as delegates from the Middletown School. Mrs Norman Koontz Mrs John Converse and Mrs Frank T Elliott represented the Libertytown School. Frederick County School Superintendent Dr James A Sensenbaugh also attended the convention.
Burkittsville Passes New Street Blocking Ordinance
The Burkittsville Town Council unanimously approved a new ordinance making it illegal to block public streets and alleys. Town Attorney William Wenner prepared the measure, which takes effect immediately with a $20 fine for first violation and continuing fines for later breaches. The council also approved the final draft of the measure.
