County commissioners move to update zoning ordinance text amendment
Fredenck County Commissioners adopted a key text amendment Tuesday to start revising the county zoning ordinance. The changes allow minor amendments without planning commission input if not constituting a substantial change, with a six month overhaul planned. The amendment separates text and map amendment processes, strengthens legal standing, and adds a show cause clause before reversion of rezoned residential property after three years if site plans are not approved.
