Man Fatally Shoots Witnesses in Attorney Office Siege

Tinsten November 11 Walter Fell, a state employee on bail for allegedly soliciting a fourteen year old girl, shot and killed Frank A Rees stepfather of the girl and Police Sergeant Frederick Schlehuber, the key witness. Fell fired as he entered the district attorney's office in Suffolk County Court House and was overpowered by officers. Fell's attorney Benjamin Otnes said the act was sudden and without warning.
