Maryland PTA Convention Set to Seek More School Aid
About 600 delegates from Maryland PTA groups will converge in Baltimore for the annual Maryland Congress of Parents and Teachers convention. They aim to back a 142 million dollar annual increase in state funding for public schools, urge expansion of teachers colleges, higher salaries, retired teacher benefits, and expansion of library and driving education, plus local options on kindergartens and junior colleges and federal aid near bases. The event marks the end of Joseph Hunter’s three year administration, with Mrs Fred L Bull named as successor.
