Libertytown Lineman Among Unsung Football Heroes

Philadelphia reports list three linemen as Unsung Heroes for Eastern Intercollegiate football. Lou Mascellino of Colgate stood out with a fumble recovery and key tackles in a 20 14 win over Bucknell. Ward of Gettysburg recovered two fumbles and disrupted Delaware’s Don Miller in a 14 13 upset. Ward, a Labertytown Maryland native, joined Gettysburg two weeks ago after high school at Frederick and Mercerburg Academy. A separate item notes Maryland Senator McLaughlin proposing a statewide firearms negligence law for hunters, citing rising hunting accidents and seeking penalties modeled on Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Baltimore County regulations.
