Sculptor of stature honoring Goldstein chosen by Kid
ANNAPOLIS AP The plan to build a bronze statue of late Comptroller Louis Goldstein will be bid through the states art property commission, but Acting Comptroller Robert Swann favored the artist who proposed a $100000 statue. Swann acknowledged legislative input is needed and noted Goldstein would have objected to sole source deals. Delegate Howard Rawlings urged that memorials be approved by the General Assembly, not unilaterally. Frederick Kail, 61, of Lutherville, had proposed the statue.
