Open Meetings Board Rules In Favor Of City In Frederick Case
The Maryland Open Meetings Compliance Board ruled Frederick officials did not violate the Open Meetings Act when they met in a closed August session to discuss responses to local picketing groups. The News-Post complaint alleged procedural failures but the board found no violation since the meeting did not occur and a vote to close was taken for an executive function.
