Washington man guilty of first degree murder and rape
A Montgomery County jury convicted Mitchell M. Moore of first degree murder and rape in the 1984 Silver Spring murder of Marie Workman, with prosecutors seeking the death penalty at sentencing. The trial also touched on two other similar attacks, defended as unrelated by Moore’s counsel while the state argued Moore’s predatory pattern.
