Brunswick Veterans Day Parade Set Sunday

Brunswick officials announce the annual Veterans Day Parade for Sunday at 1 30 p.m. Highlights include the U S Army Color Guard and Drill Team from Ft Myers Va the Oriental Band of the Ali Ghan Shriners Temple Cumberland and the Northern Virginia Patriots with about 400 youth. Charles St Clair will speak as the parade honors the Marine Corps 200th birthday and Maryland National Guard veterans. The event is the state s largest and part of Brunswick s Bicentennial celebration.

The House Ways and Means Committee endorses a tax bill with broad cuts for most Americans and a huge break for wealthy investors. Texas businessman H Ross Perot could receive a Treasury check of about 15 million, per the Wall Street Journal. Frederick Gas Company Wins 16.3 Percent Rate Increase

The Maryland Public Service Commission authorized Frederick Gas Company to raise overall gas rates by 16.3 percent, below the requested 20.66 percent. The decision allocates 199 867 of 421 620 extra annual revenues to Eastalco charges and raises the return on investment to 8.6 percent. The PSC also requires quarterly ROI statements and safeguards against windfall profits if gas supply differs from projections.
