Frederick Gas Company Wins 16.3 Percent Rate Increase
The Maryland Public Service Commission authorized Frederick Gas Company to raise overall gas rates by 16.3 percent, below the requested 20.66 percent. The decision allocates 199 867 of 421 620 extra annual revenues to Eastalco charges and raises the return on investment to 8.6 percent. The PSC also requires quarterly ROI statements and safeguards against windfall profits if gas supply differs from projections.
