An 18 year old Frederick woman Deane Woods was arrested on first and third degree burglary and first and second degree assault after breaking into her ex boyfriend's home and assaulting his new girlfriend Shannon Tregoning. The incident left Tregoning with a forehead laceration treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Woods remained jailed Tuesday on 190000 bail.
A two story townhouse at 6 Bailery Court in Middletown sustained about $30,000 in damages in a morning fire. Neighbor alerted authorities at 6:40 am. Cynthia Doughty occupies the home. The living room burned, with heat and smoke damage throughout the residence. No adjoining properties were harmed.
Two boys aged 8 and 11 could face first degree arson charges after a Sept 6 fire at an occupied apartment building at 350 W Patrick St. No injuries were reported. The fire started in a trash pile and spread to the exterior, causing about $7000 damage. A juvenile officer will determine if charges go to the Frederick County State's Attorney's Office.
