Witness testifies abuse and threats in MontCo child case
A Montgomery County jury heard testimony on the third day of Ingrid Scarpelli's trial detailing alleged abuse of her boyfriend’s 5 year old son Richard Holmes. Witness Michael Sharp described confinement tied to a bunk bed, starvation, feeding a chili pepper liquor concoction, and repeated beatings. He said Scarpelli threatened to kill the child with Alan Holmes’s gun, and noted the child’s hunger and injuries. A social worker linked Richard’s disclosure of being tied up, and AriAna reportedly attacked him daily. Scarpelli was hospitalized with pelvic inflammatory disease, delaying proceedings.
