Bentley seeks PAC support against Bush plan to curb PACs
Rep Helen Bentley charges have been sent a fundraising letter to about 120 business PACs urging opposition to Bush campaign finance reforms. The two page letter pledges to lead the battle to preserve PAC rights and discourages a Townsend challenge while noting a $5,000 PAC limit and calling for donations to strengthen business influence in Washington. Townsend says she has no plan to run in 1990.

Bloodmobile collects 105 units at Manekin Corp drive
The Red Cross bloodmobile visited 270 Technology Park on October 17 and collected 105 units. Donor groups earning credits included 270 Technology Park, 5, Phoenix Inc., 9, and Richard Kline Inc., 3. Pins were awarded for one to seven gallons to listed donors. volunteers assisting were Mabel Hatcher and others. Dozens of donors were named, including Robert G. Luke, Larry K. Woodmansee, Herschell B. Lindsey, Clark E. Phebus Jr., and many others.
