Fire at Haystack Mountain prompts mass evacuation near Cumberland
A wildfire in the Haystack Mountain area west of Cumberland burned between 75 and 100 acres and forced evacuation of about 100 residents. Firefighters from 16 companies with 30 engines battled the blaze, which grew from three acres to over 100 in roughly 24 hours.
