Bomber Crashes into House. Two Die in East Meadow
A twin engine Air Force B26 crashed into a Cape Cod house in East Meadow New York killing two airmen. Capt. Clayton Elwood of Fairfield Ohio and S/Sgt. Charles R. Slater 23 of Mitchel Field were the fatalities. The home of Paul Korouck suffered severe damage while neighbors and a child were in the area but no civilians were hurt.
