Green Valley School Dedication Planned Sunday
Green Valley School will be dedicated on Sunday November seventh at two p.m. as announced by Board of Education officials. The open plan elementary school shares its building plans with Myersville Elementary and is the county’s newest school located on Md. 80 near Md. 75 in southeastern Frederick County. Six hundred twenty eight students from kindergarten through sixth grade attend, built to relieve New Market and Urbana schools and accommodate local growth. The dedication program includes remarks by board members, a school chorus, and a presentation of a key by Furman Builders Inc. to Principal Thomas Hl. Shade. PTA President Richard Sneadner will preside. Rev. Randall Grecar and Rev. Kenneth Boale will give the invocation and benediction. refreshments will follow and visitors may tour the school.
