West German diplomats hike at Catoctin Park for fall outing

West German ambassador Gunther van Well and about 100 embassy staff hiked four miles through Catoctin Mountain Park near Camp David for a seasonal recreation day. Rangers escorted them as they admired fall colors and exchanged remarks on arms talks and Reykjavik.

Gaithersburg man’s bond cut to five thousand dollars
