Aldermanic candidate sued over land deal in Frederick

James Grimes, seeking re election to Frederick City Board of Aldermen, faces a four count suit from Douglas and Kay Sheiss alleging intentional and negligent misrepresentation and breach of contract over a 21 acre site at 7816 Old Receiver Road. The Sheisses claim Grimes misrepresented zoning and ownership of a helicopter crop dusting business, seeking damages and contract nullification. No hearing or response yet.
