Last minute sparks in Frederick City 1985 election
Frederick City’s 1985 election moves from slow to volatile four days before polls. Mayor Ronald N. Young says a court record misstates collateral use of a home he does not own, while Ed Campbell, owner of 102 West 1st Street, sees his property listed on two Young loans. Osburn and Young call it an error. Campbell asks the state attorney to correct the record. Republicans say to move past the inquiry and focus on issues. Both sides show confidence as campaigning nears.
