Halloween Parade Supports Emmitsburg Fire Fund
Emmitsburg residents enjoyed a Halloween celebration that also backs a $3,000 fundraiser for the volunteer fire company. A costume parade, dance at the American Legion, and prize awards preceded a cider barrel toast as part of a drive launched with 700 letters to property owners. Joint Lions and fire company committees plan door to door solicitations next week, aiming to raise the needed funds for a recently purchased pumper.
