Fagan retrial opens in Rockville for murder of estranged wife

The William Robert Fagan Sr. murder retrial began in Montgomery County Circuit Court with a 12 jurors panel including three black jurors and seven white women. Judge denies new trial for DeLong in slaying case

Montgomery County man Frank Urban 70 of Rockville was seriously hurt in a Tuesday two vehicle crash on Md 140 near Emmitsburg. Urban, who was exiting from U S 15, failed to stop and his 1989 Pontiac Grand Am was struck broadside by a Ford pickup. Urban was extricated by Emmitsburg fire personnel and hospitalized in York. The Ford driver Michael Bowers 45 of Westminster and his wife Susan 45 were treated at Gettysburg Hospital for minor injuries and released.
