No plans for new Brewers Alley bridge after collapse
The Brewers alley bridge collapsed under a M J Grove Lime Company truck last Saturday. City officials ordered removal of the wreck in the creek bed to prevent backing up of water. No replacement plan has been announced and the bridge is closed to through traffic until a new structure or repair is completed. The city suggests caution crossing nearby bridges and notes recent repairs on similar structures.

Dr Adron Junher of Johns Hopkins University and his family perished in a Windsor Township fire. The doctor’s wife and six year old son died in bed on the second floor. A two year old girl perished in the flames, while a man named Braber suffered upper body injuries and was hospitalized. Two other children were not at home. The maid’s body was found near the front door. The blaze began in the rear of an eight room structure and gutted the interior.
