The Long Road Toward Korean War Peace
The piece argues that even with prisoner exchanges and possible armistice talks, lasting peace remains distant. It notes that if an armistice stops fighting, about one tenth of American prisoners might be returned, but much of the communist threat in Europe Asia and beyond would persist. It warns that real peace would require sustained vigilance and that historical Russian peace drives show pauses rather than true shifts in conflict.
