If I Were a Cardinall'd Stay in My Bed
Second graders from Valley School imagine themselves as various beings from a poetry collection. Students name creatures and objects from cardinal to bee, tortoise, rock, flower, and more, linking playful vows with simple actions and playful rhymes. The verses mix names like Malcolm Thompson and Jeremy Frushout with playful lines about flying, bouncing, or hiding.
