Aldermen debate parkland for Birdseye View Estates
Aldermen weighed a parkland dedication for Birdseye View Estates with mixed views. Developer rep Michael Smanga proposed donating land at Bowers Road intersection to meet afforestation needs, while planning director Sal Boyd warned changing plans would be costly and may require reworking the project. The item heads to June mayor and council for final approval, with discussion of a ban on roller skates on certain park paths and the band shell in Baker Park.
