County clears $59,000 state debt over school building
Frederick County will not owe the state $59,000 tied to East Frederick Elementary School after officials found an accounting error. The county will store furniture and supplies at the building while reconstruction proceeds. Commissioners also reversed plans to drop security for county buildings, restoring part of the contract with St Moritz Security Services for patrols at Winchester Hall and other sites.
