Edward Charles Wingo of Damascus was found guilty by a Montgomery County Circuit Court jury on two counts of first degree sex offense two counts of third degree sex offense kidnapping and reckless endangerment in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a 6 year old Fairfax County boy The boy identified Wingo from a photo array four days after the attack with sentencing set for July 13 The victim later failed to pick him out in court but extrajudicial photo array identification was ruled admissible by Judge William M Cave.

Storm Causes Power Problems In Frederick County
A Thursday storm in Frederick County caused minor power outages affecting about 1,250 Potomac Edison customers for roughly an hour due to a McCain substation fault blamed on lightning and high winds.
