Maryland's Tomorrow honors reward high school turnaround
Laura Hash, once stuck with D’s and F’s at Gov. Thomas Johnson High, earned straight A’s as a senior after joining the Maryland’s Tomorrow program at Hood College. The event recognized several dozen students from TJ and Frederick High for improved grades, with scholarships awarded, including Laura and Frederick High student Kevin Loy receiving $600 each. Laura plans to attend Frederick Community College to pursue nursing, while Summer Love, named Frederick County’s top Maryland’s Tomorrow student, aims for accounting at FCC.
