Red light crash hits baby carriage in Baltimore driver
An auto struck a baby carriage at Third and Market streets when a Ford sedan allegedly ran a red light. The infant was uninjured but frightened. The car, with Maryland plates 85854, was registered to M. B. Kegan of Baltimore. The driver was to appear in police court that night.

Reports showed 20 health talks to PTA groups, four to women’s clubs, 27 health talks, 20 tuberculosis clinics with 180 examined and 80 cases diagnosed, and 16 children to be sent to the Claiborne Preventorium. The treasurer noted $2,204 19 spent since January 1 with a $1,690.50 balance. a budget was planned through Jan 1, 1927. Large clinic with Dr John M. Nicholas examined 29 patients. Five colored girls were accepted as prospective nurses at Henryton near Sykesville, the first Maryland entrants, with September training planned.

The MacDonnell Ser Culture Company is incorporated with Frederick as its home port. Laura MacDonnell of Boston Franely W. Ure ner and E Anctin James of Frederick are incorporators. The firm aims to produce raw silk in the United States and may engage in silk manufacturing. Extensive tests on silk quality and strength have been reported as feasible for production. The company has secured rights of way along the Atlantic Coast Line and plans breeding and processing facilities. A southern plant may produce silk this summer with costs near a pound and a market price around 5 per point, backed by Boston capital.
