U S 15 verdict due this week
The final environmental impact statement for U S 15 may gain preliminary approval from the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation by Thursday or Friday. Thurmont Mayor C Ray Weddle and council staffer Amy Schlagel said the council is reviewing the impact on Catoctin Furnace and archeological concerns. The 29 member council, none Maryland residents, has yet to visit the area.
