Bar To Meet On Judge Monday
Frederick County Bar Association will decide Monday afternoon its recommendation for the second circuit court judge. The judicial selection committee, chaired by Charles Mathias Sr and including Alton Bennett Amos Holter Benjamin Rosenstock and Holden Felton, has prepared a shortlist from local attorneys. The appointee will join Chief Judge Patrick Schnauffer and must run in the 1966 election.

Famous Sgt. York In Serious Condition In Hospital
In Nashville Tennessee AP reports that Sgt Alvin C York the WWI hero remains in serious condition after internal bleeding. The 76 year old recipient of the Medal of Honor was rushed from his Pall Mall mountain home to a hospital 140 miles away where doctors halted the bleeding and ordered rest. York has been bedfast for 10 years due to strokes and earlier served with 132 captives and 25 German soldiers in the Argonne action.
