OVEC chief outlines costs and finances of the group
The OVEC president detailed variances in construction costs between 1955 and TVA era, presented operating charges, and explained OVECs tax assessments and debt capital from supporters. He argued OVECs taxes are higher yet loan interest deductions favor the private business and claimed OVEC cannot be surpassed in skill or care. He warned OVEC could absorb CHITO-KIGGER output if AEC shuts down without harming the main company.
