Plank Impales Car After Collision on Route 56
A six inch plank pierced the front of a Ford sedan and both seats when it struck a parked truck on Route 56 near St Anthony's at about 9 PM. Driver James Richard Sayler, 25, Route 2 Rocky Ridge, admitted fishing with his brother. Sayler claimed he did not see the parked truck due to oncoming lights. The Ford was wrecked and the truck damaged. Sayler was charged with operating a motor vehicle without headlights.
