Frederick County election supervisors gain authority to establish a permanent voter registration system effective June 1 under Chapter 325 as amended by the General Assembly. Supervisors may register voters at their offices and designate staff to register voters, expanding duties beyond transfers.
Supervisors of Elections and County Commissioners discuss funds and structure to run registration. Two registration officers from each major party or a mixed board may form a registry for the section. Officials note dates unlikely this year, with amendments possible next year during presidential and tax primaries. Jersey cattle show announced by District No. 2 Jersey Cattle Club at T. A. Anderson Farm Route 280 Rockville with Crowley Jr. as judge.
