FMH Auxiliary presents over 42000 to Frederick hospital

Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxiliary raised 42800 in checks at a May 10 luncheon at the VFW Country Club. A TV revenue payment of 17023 completed the final purchase of new TV sets now owned by the hospital.

International Day Observed by Frederick Civic Club

Members of the Frederick Woman's Civic Club held International Day at Steiner House on May 16. AFS students Tammy Rubio from the Dominican Republic and Rudy Veltz from Chile spoke on life in their countries and life in Frederick. Julia Ro, visiting pianist and daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Myung Duck Ro, performed four solos. The club planned awards for county high school graduates with B or better averages and an FCC history prize, with host mothers and club officers in attendance.
