Maryland Action faces review over charitable funds use
The Maryland Attorney General’s Office asked the Secretary of State to re examine allegations that Maryland Action violated charitable laws. An assistant AG said evidence was insufficient to prove that the group spent too much of the 305000 collected from consumers last year. Secretary Fred L. Wineland had charged the group with spending nearly twice as much as allowed and asked for guidance rules. Rev. Stan Holt called the move a step forward.
