The Frederick County Human Relations Commission will award eight 100 U.S. Savings Bonds to a senior from each Frederick County public school. Entries must include a short story or essay on discrimination or human relations, plus strategies addressing such issues. Nomination by a teacher or youth leader is required with a cover page containing names, addresses, phone numbers, and guardian details. Deadline May 22. Frederick woman shares weight loss story with Duchess of York
Amy Bryant of Frederick teft was among three Weight Watchers members chosen to share her weight loss journey with Weight Watchers U.S. spokeswoman Sarah, the Duchess of York, and 350 local members. The Baltimore area lottery selected participants from 10,000 for a Weight Watchers Super Meeting on April 26. Bryant celebrated reaching her goal 364 days after starting, having lost 110 pounds.
